For Amber and her lucky husband

Before I go to bed, I have to post a quick preview for my good friend, Amber, and her family:

The girls are beautiful, right?  Right.  Eric is a lucky man.  :)

Thanks for a fun afternoon!  And a special thanks to my assistant during this session.  ;)

A big thanks to this beautiful family for letting me invade their space so often while I was back home!  :)

Carried Away

I had two great sessions today: a beautiful family, and a beautiful senior girl.

{Sidenote: I have SO MUCH WORK TO DO.  Amber and Mrs. C, I’ll be seeing you next week, with a cute one year old in tow.  ;) }

First up was Sara (an old friend of mine that I went to school with) and her lovely family.  I sat down to edit just a few of these for her preview and somehow got caught up in the happy faces and squishy Carter cheeks, and ended up with one of the biggest previews ever.  Oops.

Good news for Sara.  Sorry to everybody else.  :P

^So cute, that little Carter.  Loved him.

Well, now I’ve got to go open another Diet Coke and then check out Hali’s senior pictures.  Look for those in a little while.  :)

For Aimee

I celebrated my 30th birthday on Monday, but the festivities have been ongoing for days.  On Saturday,  my husband surrounded me with about 100,000 (give or take) of my closest friends to mark the occasion.  {{{Oh, wait.  That was the LSU-Florida game he got me (*wink, wink*) tickets to attend.  You’d think LSU could have at least scored a touchdown in honor of my milestone.  Geez.}}}

Sunday I skipped up to Shreveport for a couple of quick photo sessions that had been rescheduled from last month due to the rain.  And (… you know what’s coming next…) it rained again!  Luckily, I was able to finish Aimee’s session before the downpours began.  Here’s a quick preview for you:

Aimee’s family was fabulous- so happyand sweet!  Thanks again, you guys!

After shopping and eating way too much (on both counts) in Shreveport, the kids and I headed home on Monday and had Hostess Cupcake “birthday cakes” to celebrate my big day.  Thanks to everyone for the lovely cards and emails.  So far, thirty’s not too bad.  :)

For Kim (and associated peeps)

Yeah, I just wrote “peeps”.  So???  I’m turning thirty next month and I have to prove to myself that I’m still ‘hip’ to the slang.  Yeeeeeeee-ah.

Um, yeah, I’m totally not hip to the slang.  In fact, I’m quite certain that no one uses the terms ‘peeps’ or ‘hip’ these days.

WORD.

Homies.

Anyway, Friday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Brandi and her family.  I’ve taken pictures several times for Brandi’s mom, Kim, so I was thrilled to be able to work with them again.  :)

A sneak peek for you all:

I hope you like them so far!

Now, I’m off to go check out urbandictionary.com.  Peace out!

The Happenings

We have had a great weekend!  First day of the LSU football season Saturday, BBQ with friends, family visitors, and a fun afternoon at the house Sunday.  Here are some pics from yesterday evening:

Do we need to discuss what’s going on in this next grouping?

No? No.  A picture (or two) is worth a thousand words, right?  Molly’s unimpressed look says it all:
