For Brooke

I’d post something witty and charming here… but it’s late and everything I type just keeps coming out super cheesy.  Velveeta-esque. So, instead, I’ll just say a big THANKS to the L family for a wonderful Saturday session!  You guys were great and I hope you like your preview!

(Oh, and I LOVE that mom and dad took pictures with the kids individually.  ^^^  I’d love to have some like those with each of my babies…  I’ll work on that.  ‘Cause I have a lot of free time.  :P )

Thanks again, guys!

One for fun…

Yesterday, I photographed K and her new husband, J.  I’ll have them a proper preview by tomorrow, but for now, there’s just this one:

Obviously, this one is just for fun, but I love it!  Ha!

Congratulations again and I can’t wait to edit all of your pics.  :)

From Christmas

Posted on January 25, 2010

I know it’s almost February now, but I am just getting around to working on my family’s Christmas picture.

Every Christmas day at my mom’s house, we all pile onto the steps and porch of the small cabin behind her house after lunch for a group photo.  I usually misfire my camera’s remote several times and we all laugh.  (They are laughing WITH me, not AT me, right?  Hmmmm…)  This Christmas, for kicks, I also forgot to bring my tripod so I had the pleasure of trying to set up the shot without knocking my new camera off the hood of a Camry.  Then I slide into my spot, scoop up Jacob, smile, and hope that at least ONE of the about-four shots I get before everyone starts to scatter turns out to have at least 75% of the participants looking in the general direction of the camera.  It’s actually great fun for me; it is probably a dreaded event for everyone else.  :P   :P   :P

So, without further ado, the photo that documents the remote-misfiring, child-scooping, smiling, squeezed-between-two-trees moment where we all smile at a Canon-7D-sitting-atop-a-midsized-Toyota-sedan:

(Note to Keith and Jake: You guys are not going to be able to get married or have lots of children.  Sorry.  We don’t have any extra space between the trees.  Okay? Great.  Thanks. :P )

Yesterday, I photographed the sweetest sisters at their house.  They were seriously so polite and considerate of each other (and gorgeous to boot)!  They, not surprisingly, have amazing parents.  Here’s a quick preview for mom and dad:

Hope you like them so far!

… because I have already edited some pretty fabulous shots of them, if I do say so myself.  :P

But, alas, it is 1:49 a.m. and the Diet Coke isn’t working for me.  I’ll make you a great preview collage in the morning.

Sorry to keep you waiting.

For the G Family

Friday evening, it snowed here. Not as much as last year, but an appreciable amount, nonetheless.

Crazy.

Jacob and Molly had a blast playing in the white stuff.  I had to force myself NOT to go through those pictures yet (check back tomorrow or Monday), so that I could focus on the fabulous family I photographed Saturday afternoon.

By the time I met up with Michelle and her beautiful family, much of the snow had melted, but it was still COLD.

COLD!!!

My thanks to them for meeting up with me today despite the chilly temperature.  I think we got a lot of great shots.

Here is a seriously extended preview for them:

Let me know what you think!
