What an interesting journey Flat Ally had while she visited us here in South Louisiana. I am sending her complete story and pictures to your school, but I just wanted to put to rest any rumors you may have heard (or not!):
Yes, this really did happen to Flat Ally:

But, she was somehow able to escape that precarious impasse unscathed (Dictionary Skills Alert!) and will soon be well on her way to her next stop- New Jersey!
(Don’t know what this is all about? It’s a variation of this.)

Molly… AGAIN.
Posted on January 12, 2010
It’s not that I WANT to have more Molly than Jacob pictures here, it’s just that she is here with me all day while J is at school. And she NAPS.
I can feel guilty about anything.
Here’s my little blog hog today:

And you can really see her new teeth in this pic:

Thankfully the second top tooth has poked its way out- for a little while she just had one goofy tooth up there!

Aren’t girls fun?!?
Posted on January 11, 2010
These two pictures were taken back to back within a time frame of about 15 seconds MAX. For real.

When I uploaded pictures (taken over the holiday break) and saw the mood change between these two, I had to laugh.

A Jacob Update
Posted on January 6, 2010
When I take a break, I take a break.
I’m back to take care of my neglected blog, though.
And, finally…
A Jacob Update:
A couple of days before Christmas, Jacob and I went for a ride on the The Polar Express in Palestine. He had a lot of fun on his way to and from the North Pole- Santa even got on the train and rode back to the depot with us.
Jacob was suspicious of the elves that accompanied Santa, though. He noted, “They didn’t have real elf shoes… They MIGHT be impostors!”
Here’s Jacob (striking quite a pose) before the train ride:

Santa was very good to Jacob this year. I would take pictures of all of his loot, but I can’t fit my camera into his room given the amount of toys in there.
So this shot of he and Molly riding in a mini Mini Cooper together will have to suffice for now:

Oh, here’s Jacob in one of Uncle Luke’s presents:

(^^^Those were taken BEFORE Uncle Luke got this and proclaimed it off limits to the kids.
)
After Christmas was finished and life quieted down a bit, Jacob had time to focus on other things… like sewing.
He “accidentally” pulled Simon’s glasses off and HAD to sew them back on to the Chipmunk, of course. He assured me that his old Montessori teacher, Mrs. Tabitha, had taught him to sew… and I guess she really did:

He sewed the glasses back on (upside down… but still!) and then decided to make sure Simon didn’t ‘accidentally’ get his shirt ripped off, too.
Like his dad, he is much better at sewing than I am.

Speaking of…
In an unrelated incident, Jacob has his first three stitches thanks to a very, very, very minor surgery:

He’ll get those out in a couple of days and will be back to his old self again.
And if you ask him about the stitches and he mentions it “didn’t really hurt! I didn’t even cry!!!”… just go with it.
