I guess when I wrote on the last post that I’d be back with a Jacob update “soon”, I should have clarified that by ’soon’ I meant ‘at least a week or two’. 
This post isn’t even the Jacob update. This post is just here to say, ‘Hi/ We’ve had a wonderful holiday so far/ I’ve been super busy/ It’s hard to find computer time with both kids at home right now/ Thanks to everyone for the wonderful Christmas wishes, gifts, and cards/ I’ll be back to regular blogging again soon’.
(and by ’soon’ I mean probably not until Jacob goes back to school 
)

A Molly Update

A snapshot of Molly at 12 months (I know I’m so late on this; but I did get to it before she turns 13 months…):
- She doesn’t just walk now- she tries to run. She’s so proud of herself.
- She dances to EVERYTHING. Any time she hears a beat, she starts breaking it down. Songs, commercial jingles, Jacob’s Christmas caroling, musical toys, car alarms, whatever- she’s got the beat.
- She’s finally started to get some new teeth! (She only had those two bottom teeth for forever it seems- or since she was seven months, I think.) Now she is getting one top tooth (with the other top tooth starting to creep to the surface) and two more bottom teeth.
- She blows sweet kisses.
- She shakes her finger ‘no no no’ when you tell her to stop doing something. I don’t know where she got that.
- She’s started to pull her eyelashes when she’s sleepy.
I’m going to cry if she pulls out those lashes on the outside corners that are always super curled. - She’s incredibly ticklish.
- She loves her brother. She tells him “Ny, ny, JJ” when it’s time for him to go to bed.
- She will eat anything.
- She is (surprisingly) a bit of a peanut- despite her huge belly and booty (well, it’s true). She sat squarely at the 25th percentile for height and between the 25th and 50th for weight at her one year appointment. Jacob was always at the top of the charts on both counts (and always way off the charts for head circumference ), so little Miss M’s stats are a big change. Little toot.
- She’s loving- and oh so loved.
- And if you are receiving a gift from us and it appears to have been wrapped, unwrapped, and rewrapped several times, thank Molly for that. She has been tearing into the gifts for a couple of weeks now. (And I’ve been letting Jacob do the re-wrapping at this point.)
The other day, I managed to sweep her longest wisps of hair into her first set of pigtails. Yes, I’m totally jumping the gun on these (her hair really isn’t long enough yet), but they were so incredibly cute:

{Sisters}

Yesterday, I photographed the sweetest sisters at their house. They were seriously so polite and considerate of each other (and gorgeous to boot)! They, not surprisingly, have amazing parents. Here’s a quick preview for mom and dad:

Snow!

It snowed here Friday night! Hopefully I’ll have time to get to the rest of the pictures I took Saturday morning, but for now, this is what I’ve got:
They had such a great time playing in the snow (even though a lot of it had already melted by Saturday morning)! I hope to share more later. Busy busy busy.

For the G Family

Friday evening, it snowed here. Not as much as last year, but an appreciable amount, nonetheless.
Crazy.
Jacob and Molly had a blast playing in the white stuff. I had to force myself NOT to go through those pictures yet (check back tomorrow or Monday), so that I could focus on the fabulous family I photographed Saturday afternoon.
By the time I met up with Michelle and her beautiful family, much of the snow had melted, but it was still COLD.
COLD!!!
My thanks to them for meeting up with me today despite the chilly temperature. I think we got a lot of great shots.
