I celebrated my 30th birthday on Monday, but the festivities have been ongoing for days. On Saturday, my husband surrounded me with about 100,000 (give or take) of my closest friends to mark the occasion. {{{Oh, wait. That was the LSU-Florida game he got me (*wink, wink*) tickets to attend. You’d think LSU could have at least scored a touchdown in honor of my milestone. Geez.}}}
Sunday I skipped up to Shreveport for a couple of quick photo sessions that had been rescheduled from last month due to the rain. And (… you know what’s coming next…) it rained again! Luckily, I was able to finish Aimee’s session before the downpours began. Here’s a quick preview for you:

After shopping and eating way too much (on both counts) in Shreveport, the kids and I headed home on Monday and had Hostess Cupcake “birthday cakes” to celebrate my big day. Thanks to everyone for the lovely cards and emails. So far, thirty’s not too bad.

This blog, which I print out in book form at the end of the year (you know, just in case the internet suddenly DIES!), has really been missing some JACOB! He has been very busy with school, soccer, festivals, parties, and telling spooky stories. I’m going to get him on video sharing one of his tales soon, because he’s quite the storyteller.

Baby Jane

Today I had the pleasure of spending a large part of the day with Baby Jane and her mom. I’m still a little bitter that Baby Jane’s mom (unknowingly) swiped my (imaginary) future baby’s name. Apparently, though, I stole ‘Molly’ from them, so I guess I’ll call it even for now.
Thanks again! She’s beautiful!
