For Ginger
Posted on September 14, 2009
Saturday night, while I was taking pictures, Sal was with our friends at the LSU game hanging out with Matthew McConaughey. And by “hanging out” I mean that they saw him.
My friend, Amber (never one to let a good opportunity pass her by), talked to him and reported back to me that she was thoroughly unimpressed. So, I feel very confident saying that I got the much better end of the stick that evening- I got to hang out with these gorgeous girls instead:

Hope you like them so far!

One before I go…

We will be traveling back to the big town of Sunset in a bit. But before we leave, I had to share this picture of Miss C from this morning. I’ll have a proper preview for Brooke (and Ginger
) once I get back home.

There was just no way I could go to bed tonight knowing that this was on my camera:

Those are my niece’s cute gap teeth. Impressive, right?
I have other cute pictures of my other cute nieces, too.
Tomorrow, tomorrow.

For Betsy
Posted on September 13, 2009
Rain, rain, rain. Lots and lots of rain today. Lots and lots of photography session plans washed away by the rain today. But every cloud has a silver lining, right? And today’s silver lining comes to you via Betsy’s family.
Betsy’s husband was a couple of years behind Sal in residency. I didn’t know them terribly well when we lived in Shreveport, but since I’ve photographed their children before and visited with them at social-ish events when Sal was still in residency (I’m SUCH the social butterfly… Hahaha), I knew these things:
- They have three of the cutest kids EVER.
- Betsy’s husband seems like a super nice guy.
- And I really like Betsy.
I think I detect wit and sarcasm from Betsy… which I totally appreciate. Plus, I like her parenting style. In fact, when I read a story involving one of her children sucking water out of toilet paper, I knew we would get along famously.
I’m glad to hear they are moving to Lafayette next year.
Well, enough about that- let’s see some rainy-day pictures!

Hope you like them so far!

For Kim (and associated peeps)
Posted on September 12, 2009
Yeah, I just wrote “peeps”. So??? I’m turning thirty next month and I have to prove to myself that I’m still ‘hip’ to the slang. Yeeeeeeee-ah.
Um, yeah, I’m totally not hip to the slang. In fact, I’m quite certain that no one uses the terms ‘peeps’ or ‘hip’ these days.
WORD.
Homies.
Anyway, Friday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Brandi and her family. I’ve taken pictures several times for Brandi’s mom, Kim, so I was thrilled to be able to work with them again.
A sneak peek for you all:

I hope you like them so far!
Now, I’m off to go check out urbandictionary.com. Peace out!

You really have to watch her closely outside: There are few things Molly likes more than a crunchy leaf buffet.

The Happenings
Posted on September 7, 2009
We have had a great weekend! First day of the LSU football season Saturday, BBQ with friends, family visitors, and a fun afternoon at the house Sunday. Here are some pics from yesterday evening:
The Sweetness:

Do we need to discuss what’s going on in this next grouping?

No? No. A picture (or two) is worth a thousand words, right? Molly’s unimpressed look says it all:

Happy Labor Day!

Highsteppin’
Posted on September 4, 2009
No longer content to crawl from room to room, Molly now likes to try out her walking legs. Of course she still needs help. And she is quite the high-stepper.
Makes me laugh:
