The Molly Crawl
Posted on September 30, 2009
Molly will undoubtedly walk before too too long, so I wanted to document her version of crawling before it is gone forever. When she first started crawling like this, I thought her style was just a step in the direction of a ‘normal’ crawl (I do realize kids crawl many different ways…). But she never ‘corrected’ it. And, thank goodness she didn’t; otherwise, I wouldn’t have this to laugh at everyday:
Yes, she kicked it into turbo gear in that video because she wanted to get balls. That kid loves balls. (I think she’s also snacking while shuffling across the floor in her squeaky shoes there, too. She’s a multi-tasker.

And, I know you’re thinking, ‘Enough with the scarves already!’ But look how much she loves it:

Little Known Fact: Johnny Appleseed also worked as a clown
Posted on September 25, 2009
Or at least you would think so after seeing Jacob’s version of Johnny Appleseed:

Today was ‘Johnny Appleseed Day’ at his school. (Yeah, I didn’t know there was such a day, either.) Jacob helped make his ‘costume’ and was pretty proud of it. Unfortunately, I have to take credit for that ridiculous attempt at a pot on his head. {It kind of looks like an aluminum foil Russian Ushanka hat, don’t you think? Although, Jacob’s hat does have a pot handle, you just can’t see it in the picture.} Also, he painted apples (like on his shirt) on the canvas bag. Because everyone knows that Johnny Appleseed carried a fruity purse. And wore argyle socks with running shoes. And saluted everyone he saw.
On a not-at-all-related note, I finally got the mirror I had been wanting to hang over the living room fireplace:

Naturally, someone whose name rhymes with ‘Ralvador’ broke a part of the frame within an hour of me bringing the mirror home. But, having seen the craftiness of the Johnny Appleseed costume above, you should know that reattaching the broken piece would be no problem for us.
I can’t even tell where it was broken now.
I have a ton of things I am working on right now. If you are waiting on galleries from me, they will be ready SOON! I’ll email you all when your pictures are ready.

How Rude!
Posted on September 22, 2009
Yeah, maybe it’s a little mean, but I adore Molly’s Halloween costume:

Little piggy- I can’t wait!
Jacob just wants to be wrapped up in toilet paper and call himself a mummy. I hope it doesn’t rain on Halloween.
I may as well make Molly’s embarrassment complete…
On a somewhat related note:

Gooooooaaaaaaallllllllllll!
Posted on September 21, 2009
Jacob had his first soccer game over the weekend. I think he is the youngest on the team, but he still did a great job.
And, watching him run around (and trip and fall!) all over the field is just adorable. He has games for the next eight weekends, so hopefully he’ll have a chance to score a goal (Is that the right terminology??? We, umm, didn’t have soccer in Joaquin.). He was one tiny kick away from scoring on Saturday, but it wasn’t to be.
He doesn’t care, though. He just had fun!
{(He’s number 4)}

(Yeah, most people would probably opt for a picture of their child actually playing soccer, but I just liked this one.)

For Brooke
Posted on September 14, 2009
I think I have taken Miss C’s pictures every few months since she was three months old. I also think her mom might be getting tired of me saying, “Oh my goodness, she is soooo cute!!!” over and over again throughout each session. But, seriously, isn’t this little two year old ADORABLE?!? It’s the big, round eyes! No, it’s the curls! No, it’s EVERYTHING!!! I just think she’s ridiculously cute:

See what I mean? Ridiculously cute.
Thanks, Brooke. Hope you like them so far!
